Why is Training so Important?

Last year 45 workers died following a fall from height and 3750 were seriously injured (HSE 2007).Health and safety awareness has contributed to a significant decline in fatalities and injuries in the last five years, but there is still more that can be done. The HSE say falls from height usually occur because of poor management control, providing adequate supervision and training could make a big difference. As a user of Powered Access you will no doubt be aware of the Legislation (LOLER, PUWER, HASWA and WAHR) For companies using any type of powered access equipment, it is essential that all operators are fully trained in all aspects of safety. As it is the employers responsibility for maintaining safety standards that satisfy the criteria laid out in both EC and Health and Safety at Work legislation, it is advisable that you Contact Us to ensure that your safe working procedures satisfy all the criteria.

Who needs Training?

Training is required by individuals using powered access equipment. Mobile access towers are widely used in many different industries sectors- Building and Maintenance, Construction, Cleaning, Utilities, facilities and Management.

Which Training Course?

IPAF Operator/Demonstrator Training

Our Fully Qualified Instructors will take your Employees through a Training Programme that includes both theory and practical sessions allowing for a complete knowledge on the machine being used and assessment of Safe and Competent use. The recent introduction of the PAL Operator Experience Log Book in addition to the existing License is an example of the way in which all current needs within the Industrial Training Market are being met by IPAF and AJ Access. The four categories of machine that training can provided are 1a Static Vertical, 1b Static Boom, 3a Mobile Vertical, 3b Mobile Boom.

Duration: 1-3 days dependant on machine type (s)

Delegates: 1 Category: 6 Delegates      2 Categories: 4 Delegates

 All successful attendees will receive a Powered Access Licence (PAL) which is valid for a period of five years. All powered access licenses that we issue are accepted by the major contractors group.
