AJ Access Platforms Coronavirus Policy

This document has been produced to provide reassurance to our customers and suppliers that the AJ Access Platforms is proactively assessing and managing the potential risks brought about by the uncertainty of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Our group policy on the Coronavirus outbreak is to follow UK Government advice so that we minimise the risk to our employees, customers and suppliers.

We are operating on a reduced capacity basis in adherence with the latest government advice.

Safety is in the forefront of our minds and we are closely following Government advice in respect of the following:

  • Staff

Whilst AFI has been operating with a reduced workforce, often working from home, over recent weeks a small number of employees have returned to work in response to regulatory requirements and customer demand.

  • Depots

We have a minimum number of staff operating at our locations where home working is not possible.

  • Social Distancing

We are enforcing strict rules regarding social distancing. Where available, we are advocating communication via phone, email, Microsoft Team, WhatsApp or video conferencing.

  • Hygiene

We are enforcing strict hygiene standards, with staff being required to follow government guidelines (regular hand washing, respiratory hygiene, sanitisation of surfaces etc.) and appropriate PPE has been supplied to our employees.

  • Equipment Cleaning Procedures

All equipment is thoroughly cleaned upon return and prior to despatch to reduce transmission risks.

  • Construction Sites

The latest Government advice indicates that construction sites can continue to operate but must implement the Site Operating Procedures, developed by Build UK and published by the Construction Leadership Council (CLC). The CLC has confirmed that all construction sites should assess their situation and those sites that cannot implement the Site Operating Procedures published by the CLC should not remain open.

  • Training

Throughout the development of the Coronavirus, our training divisions have followed official advice from the NHS and the Government regarding the Coronavirus outbreak, as well as listening regularly to customer feedback. We have put in place additional controls such as social distancing and providing additional hygiene facilities to support the wider UK efforts as well as giving additional flexibility to our customers to move courses without penalty.

We offer a range of training courses at a selected number of training locations including IPAF, PASMA and NSRWA. We also offer training online, which includes IPAF e-Learning Operator training (online theory together with a ½ day practical at one of our training locations), as well as the IPAF MEWPs for Managers course.
